CHILD SAFETY

SECURITYCCTV

For safety and security our premises are covered by CCTV

HEALTH

Please let us know if your child has any health problems.

A child who catches an infectious disease should not attend pre-school and parents / guardians should inform the leader / deputy leader at once in case other children / adults are affected.
Parents / guardians are asked not to bring into the pre-school any child who has been vomiting or had diarrhoea until at least 24 hours has elapsed since the last attack.
Written permission must be given for the administration of medication including life saving medication such as inhalers / nebulisers, insulin, etc.

FIRST AID

We are all here first and foremost for the well-being and safekeeping of Rowans Pre-School children. All of the staff are qualified in first-aid. Minor incidents and relevant procedures are recorded in an accident book and signatures are required from parents / guardians and staff.
Please talk to the staff if you are worried in any way about your child and also let us know if there are any circumstances which may be temporarily upsetting him/her, e.g. moving house, an illness or death in the family. This will be treated in the strictest confidence.

DISCIPLINE

If a child does something that is unacceptable we will make sure that they understand what they have done wrong and will take action appropriate to the situation. Emphasis is placed on helping the children to learn how to play happily together and to have consideration for others. All serious incidents will always be reported to parent / guardian.
