Rowans Pre-School opened its doors in October 2002 to children aged 2 years 9 months to 5 years. (now 2 years 6 months)
By opening the Pre-school we are giving parents an opportunity to leave their children in a safe, secure learning environment. For some of Rowans JMI Nursery children it means that parents can drop them off at 9.00am and pick them up at 3.15pm. The children will have had access to the Foundation Stage Curriculum in the morning, had lunch on the school site, and then continued their education in the afternoon within the Pre-school.
Following a canvass of the local community we soon realised that there were a lot of people in the area very keen for a pre-school to be up and running. From that we have worked tirelessly, with the support of County's Young in Herts. We have met the Ofsted National standards enabling us to open. The Pre-School is available for anyone of pre-school age in and around the area.
The Pre-School and Lunch club are independent to the main school
We are able to accept 25 children and at times have a waiting list
If you would like to arrange a visit, place your child's name on our waiting list or have any questions regarding the pre-school, please contact us, and will be happy to help you in any way.
Our last ofsted inspection took place in December 2007 with the overall outcome of the inspection being good. To view the full inspection click here.
